ABC Challenge #26: Z for Zenith

Among the various theories and prophecies formulated by mankind, everyone believes that they are destined for the greater good. People believe that at some point in their lives they are meant to shine among the crowd and carve an identity for themselves. It might not materialize, but people dream about it. The subconscious mind notices even the smallest and the deepest of our desires and we eventually dream about them.

Though people may disagree, everyone would get to be at the pinnacle of glory at least once in their life time. Some might not realize it, probably because they keep looking at something else as an achievement and some people are lucky enough or smart enough to realize that they have reached where they wanted to see themselves.

It seems just Yesterday that she was born, she has already turned one. Her smiles, her tantrums, her reactions are getting cuter, day by day.

It seems just Yesterday that she was One, she has already turned ten. The baby girl is shaping up as a strong, lovable and a wonderful child.

It seems just Yesterday that she had joined school, Now she has finished her Graduation. Where there was a child there is now a strong, confident and an independent woman.

In Pursuit of Eternal Glory

(This article has been published in the Deccan Chronicle. You can read it here! )

I am not sure whether I have to blame it on the omnipresent social media, but I've noticed a new trend that has been catching up. I am not sure if I’m surrounded by a wave of achievers or by people who falsely claim to have achieved something. I've written and reviewed a few LORs and SOPs for people whom I've known and I was surprised to see a different version of them in the written format, something which I probably failed to notice when I knew them.

All of us want to look good. We want to be treated with respect and we all want to be role models for everyone. We want to be appreciated and we want the whole world to pause, look at us and shower praises at our “achievements”. So what would be the best way to do that? The easiest and the simplest way would probably be to work hard and to ensure that all that we speak about ourselves is true, at least to a considerable extent. Or, we shouldn’t speak about things which we’re not even remotely associated with.
