Over 24 Years between the 22 Yards.

Sachin Tendulkar. The Phenomenon!

I should consider myself lucky enough to have been able to watch Sachin Tendulkar deliver his farewell note. Those words will remain etched forever in the minds and hearts of the millions who watched him speak about his journey. As he incredibly put it ’My journey of 24 years between the 22 yards’, as emotional as it was, as difficult as it was for him to hold on to his tears, as difficult as it was for us to get a grip and stop the tears flowing, it was speech befitting the Grand Finale, at the end of his glorious career.  He surpassed our expectations yet again by delivering the best.

This post is not going to be about his achievements. I’m sure I don’t have to highlight it, again. The man’s statistics have been speaking for themselves. No, I’m not going to do that. Nor am I going to walk you through the highlight performances of his career. I honestly haven’t had the patience to watch an entire innings of a cricket match, expect perhaps for the T20. This is about something else. This is about Sachin, the human being. Apologies for the term human being. Or, let me word it this way. This is about the Sachin and his human-like attributes.

Happiness is...

Happiness is that feeling when you let go everything that keeps you tied to the ground and when you’re almost ready to fly. It is that feeling you have after deciding that you wouldn’t let your worries bother you. It is when you smile from your heart and the warmth of that smile spreads to your face. It is that light feeling in the heart which makes everything around you seem wonderful.

The problem with most of us is we’re not exactly sure as to what makes us happy. We think that doing a certain things makes us happy and we force ourselves to believe it, not realizing that it was never our priority in the first place. People complicate this simple thought and as a result we are under the opinion that it is not easy to be or feel happy.

Just as how the small things in life matter the most, happiness can be found in the simplest of things. Each human being is unique, with a unique outlook and perspective. So, the definition of happiness would be subjective but at the same time, defining it would not be a herculean task, if you know yourself very well.

What blogging taught me about Life!

I spoke about the lessons blogging taught me about life. Since I was chosen to represent this event as a blogger, I couldnt think of anything else which I could talk about. I'm sure every blogger out there would be able to relate to it :-)

So, another dream comes true. Another item checked from my To-Do List :-)

I am really grateful to God, my parents , my friends and all those who supported and encouraged me throughout. Thank you everybody :-)
